Like Trinity, Neo (human name, Anderson) is also a computer hacker (alias, Neo) who penetrates computer systems illicitly and steals information. During his time as a hacker, Anderson learns about something known only as “The Matrix”. Although Anderson had no idea what it is or what relevance it had with him, he knew that it was something of great importance.

As it turns out, his life within the Matrix is invaluable because of his extraordinary abilities which he can use to further the cause of a free humanity. Though many refused to believe, including himself, it is the Oracle who assures Neo that he is The One.

Trinity, the first officer of the Nebuchadnezzar, made herself a local legend in the illusory hacking community of humans living in the Matrix. Like other members of the hovercraft’s crew, Trinity’s job involved the freeing of minds that were ready to accept the truth about The Matrix.
