Rumor: Sonic in Super Smash Bros. Brawl?
GoNintendo is reporting that a Swedish magazine called +N has an article describing the playable characters in the upcoming Wii title Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Interesting thing is that Sonic the Hedgehog appears in that list. While this is not a confirmation of Sonic’s inclusion in the game, it wouldn’t be beyond the realm of possibility. Gamers have wanted to see Mario and Sonic in the same game since the 16-bit era when Nintendo and Sega were rivals. Now, since Sega became a software publisher exclusively, Sega and Nintendo have a much better relationship, even sharing similar visions in game-making. Since Sonic already appears on Nintendo platforms, why not? We’ll keep you posted if any confirmation of this rumor surfaces.
